After falling out of the Top 10 last week, Arizona Basketball (17-3, 6-3) climbed up to No. 6 this week in the latest AP Rankings.

The 2022-23 Arizona Basketball season is steadily cruising along, and one week after the Wildcats fell out of the Top 10 in the AP Rankings, the Wildcats rebounded in a big way this weekend!

Returning to the hardwood with a tough challenge against USC and then No. 5 ranked UCLA, Arizona needed a better effort than we saw against the Oregon schools.

Dominating their Thursday game en route to the 81-66 win over the Trojans, the Wildcats had an even bigger challenge with the Bruins on Saturday afternoon.

Taking part in a slugfest that ended in just a combined 110 points between both teams and 34.5 percent shooting, the Wildcats came away with the narrow, 58-52 win.

And after their tremendous showing this week, Arizona climbed in the latest AP Poll that was announced on Monday afternoon, this week coming in at No. 6.

Climbing into the Top 10 in the AP Rankings yet again, Arizona Basketball will have to continue to play to their potential.

Also joining Arizona from the Pac-12 Conference in the AP Top 25 was UCLA who checks in at No. 8 this week. Meanwhile, Arizona State who received last week, dropped in the rankings precipitously, after losing to UCLA and USC.

So, with the Wildcats climbing up to No. 6 in the country, they will have to remain focused this week as they take on Washington State and Washington this week.

The Wildcats cannot overlook anyone and they will need to stay hungry and humble if they hope to continue their solid run. Should the Wildcats take care of business this week, they will have a great opportunity to rise in the AP Top 25 rankings again!
