TUCSON, AZ – Earning the sweep in Washington, No. 5 Arizona Basketball (19-3, 8-3) looks to avenge its previous loss to Oregon (13-9, 7-4).

After a dominant week in the Pacific Northwest, No. 5 Arizona Basketball will look to extend its winning streak on Thursday night as they welcome the Oregon Ducks to town.

Returning to the friendly confines of McKale Center in Tucson, the Wildcats are going to have a significant challenge here as they take on Oregon.

Coming in, the Ducks are rolling. Winners in four of their last five games, including a thumping of Arizona in Eugene, Oregon will have the confidence in this one.

And despite Arizona being the favorites in this one, it is going to take a hell of a team performance, and the Wildcats will have to bring the intensity from the tip and get its offense rolling early if they are going to get the win in this one!

Arizona Game Preview:

Resuming conference play against Pac-12 foe Oregon, Arizona was rolling last week, earning their fourth-straight win after sweeping the Washington schools, and whipping the Huskies in Seattle on Saturday afternoon.

Unfortunately, the challenge will be even greater for Arizona on Thursday as the Wildcats will take on the Oregon Ducks again.

Coming into Thursday’s action, this should be an exciting matchup as both squads have quite the history together, and have put together some competitive games. While Arizona leads the overall series 51-37 since 1976, the Ducks have controlled this one of late, winning 11 of the 14 meetings.

The last time both these teams played each other was in Oregon last month where Arizona was shellacked in Eugene, falling to the Ducks by an 87-68 final.

Arizona’s offense will need to play better in this one, plus, the defense will have to bring a better effort if they hope to avoid the upset again at the hands of the Ducks! Tip-off for Thursday is set for 8:30 P.M. Tucson time!
