TUCSON, AZ – Playing their deeper rotation, No. 5 Arizona Basketball (21-3, 10-3) was too much for Oregon State (9-15, 3-10), winning 84-52.

Entering Saturday night’s action on a five-game winning streak, No. 5 Arizona Basketball was back in action, looking to continue to close out their week against Oregon State.

Welcoming the Beavers to town, the Wildcats were the clear favorite in this one, and it didn’t take long for Arizona to assert their dominance.

Using a deeper bench, Arizona shot a combined 46.7 percent from the field, including 10-25 (40.0) from three, to come away with a dominant, 84-52 win.

While there no one tallied a 40-point game in this one, overall, it was a combined team effort in here as the Wildcats had 12 different players score; however, it was Arizona’s big man Azuolas Tubelis leading the way again, scoring 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds on 6-10 shooting.

Courtney Ramey and Pelle Larsson added with 11 and 10 respectively, meanwhile, Arizona’s bench had great production as Kylan Boswell and Adama Bal each scored eight points.

Despite Oregon State hanging tough early on, No. 5 Arizona Basketball was too much for the Beavers, running away with the 32-point win.

Looking to close out the week with a potential sweep of the Oregon schools, Arizona returned to action with a huge matchup advantage.

And from the tip, the Wildcats got the Beavers’ best shot as Oregon State trailed just 10-8 after the first six-plus minutes of play. Luckily, that would be the closest that OSU would get in this one as Arizona responded with an 11-3 run to lead 21-11 with 10:08 to play.

Arizona would continue to find its offensive rhythm in the first half as the Wildcats pulled ahead by as many as 12 before ending the half on a 14-0 run to lead 47-21 at half-time after Boswell swished a deep three-pointer.

Looking to continue its dominant offensive play in the second half, the Wildcats opened the second half on a 9-5 run to lead by as many as 30.

Despite the Beaver’s best attempts to try and come back in this one, Arizona would shut down every Oregon State response, eventually closing out the second half by outscoring the Beavers 37-31 in the second half to come away with the dominant 84-52 win at home!

With the win, the Wildcats improve to 21-3 (10-3) on the season and will resume basketball action next Thursday when they take on Cal in Berkeley! Tip-off against the Golden Bears is set for 9:00 PM MST. Arizona will follow that one up with a showdown against Stanford on Saturday!
