After beating Utah and Colorado at home Arizona Basketball (24-4, 13-4) saw a little movement in the latest AP Poll, jumping to No. 7 this week!
We are getting closer and closer to March as Arizona Basketball is steadily rolling along in the 2022-23 season, and after falling to Stanford last weekend, the Wildcats responded in a big way!
Earning wins over Utah and Colorado at home, the Wildcats got back on track in a big way, throttling the Utes on Thursday, before overcoming a slow start against the Buffaloes to improve to 24-4 on the season.
And after their tremendous showing at home this past weekend, Arizona climbed again in the latest AP Poll that was announced on Monday afternoon, this week checking in at No. 7.
Continuing its streak of being ranked inside the Top 10 in the AP Poll, Arizona Basketball will have to continue to play to its well as the season winds down.
Once again joining Arizona from the Pac-12 Conference in the AP Top 25 was UCLA who checks in at No. 4 this week. Meanwhile, the rest of the Pac-12 is on the outside looking in, with all other member institutions receiving 0 votes yet again this week.
So, with the Wildcats climbing up to No. 7 in the country, they will have to remain focused this week, especially as they have some time off before taking on rival Arizona State for a big home matchup against the Sun Devils on Saturday afternoon.
Should the Wildcats take care of business this week, they will have a great opportunity to strengthen their tournament resume before they take on USC and UCLA next week in Southern California.
