Despite dropping to No. 8 last week, Arizona Basketball (25-6, 15-6) saw no movement in the latest AP Poll, staying put at No. 5 this week.

The 2022-23 regular season may be over for Arizona Basketball; however, as we all know, the real season is just starting as the Wildcats are heating up for March!

And returning to the hardwood this week for the Pac-12 Conference Tournament, Arizona will enter this weekend’s action fresh off a loss to No. 4 UCLA on Saturday.

But before that, Arizona got the much-needed win over USC on Thursday night to split last weekend’s action in Los Angeles.

And after falling to 25-6 (15-6) on the season, Arizona stayed put in the latest AP Poll that was announced on Monday afternoon, coming in at No. 8 again this week.

Even though Arizona Basketball saw no movement in the latest AP Poll, the Wildcats still come in at a respectable No. 8 ranking.

This season, we have seen a fair bit of success from the Wildcats, and despite losing three players to the NBA Draft, Arizona still put together a solid campaign.

And in the Pac-12, the conference was pretty top-heavy this year with UCLA coming in at No. 2 this week, meanwhile, USC received just five Top 25 votes.

So with Arizona staying put at No. 8 in the country, they will have to remain focused this week as they begin the conference championship.

Assuming Arizona does fairly well in the conference tournament, the Wildcats may still be in play for a No. 2 seed. However, the Wildcats cannot overlook anyone and they will need to stay hungry and humble if they look to continue to strengthen their tournament resume! the ranks.

Either way, we should be in store for an exciting week of Arizona Basketball!
