LAS VEGAS, NV – Beginning the Pac-12 Tournament, No. 8 Arizona Basketball (25-6, 14-6) looks to avenge its previous loss to Stanford (14-18, 7-13).

Well, the 2022-23 regular season didn’t quite end the way many had hoped for No. 8 Arizona Basketball, as the Wildcats limped to a 4-3 finish over its last seven games.

And fresh off of their loss to then No. 4 ranked UCLA on Saturday evening, the Wildcats return to the hardwood to face Stanford to begin the quarterfinals round of the Pac-12 Conference Tournament.

Coming in, the Wildcats are the favorites, but like its previous game against the Cardinal, it is going to take another focused effort, and with the Wildcats preparing for March, now isn’t the time for them to get complacent!

Arizona Game Preview:

Beginning the Pac-12 Conference Tournament against Pac-12 foe Stanford, Arizona will have a challenge in this one as the Wildcats look to continue to strengthen its NCAA Tournament resume.

Together, both teams share quite the competitive history here, and overall this has been a great matchup even though Arizona has dominated this series with a 69-27 advantage since 1966, including winning 22 of the last 25 meetings.

Unfortunately, the last time both of these teams played each other was in Palo Alto a few weeks ago where Stanford came away with the convincing, 88-79 victory.

Arizona’s offense will need to get to work quickly in this one and keep its momentum going, meanwhile, the defense has to bring a better effort than we’ve seen recently if they are going to win here! Tip-off is currently set for 7:00 P.M. Tucson time!
