After losing three-straight games to end the 2022-23 season, Arizona Women’s Basketball looks to regroup ahead of the NCAA Tournament.

The 2022-23 regular season has come to a close for Arizona Women’s Basketball, and despite having its destiny in their hands just several weeks ago, the Wildcats limped to the finish line.

Sitting at 21-6 on the season with games against the Oregon schools remaining, Arizona was walloped by the Ducks and Beavers, losing by a combined score of 151-129.

Then came the Pac-12 Tournament where Arizona looked to rebound against UCLA.

Unfortunately, the Bruins looked more ready and prepared than the Wildcats, beating Arizona by a 73-59 final in Las Vegas.

And luckily, with a full week off, Arizona Women’s has a great opportunity to try and regroup ahead of the NCAA Tournament.

If there were ever a crucial point of the season to try and turn some things around, now it is it. Arizona enters the week riding a three-game losing streak, but now the real madness begins as the NCAA Tournament is still looming.

This isn’t to say that Arizona will miraculously fix everything over the week off, or that the Wildcats will suddenly become a National Title contender; however, if Arizona wants to even have a successful March, they are going to have to turn some things around, and some adjustments will need to be made this week.

The Wildcats have a great opportunity to work with more personnel and get some things figured out before they return to action. Let’s just hope Adia Barnes and the staff can work some things out and get better results coming out of the week off!
