Arizona Game Preview:
Arizona got another big win last Saturday, using a strong second-half effort to pace itself to the narrow win over rival UCLA to secure its second-straight Pac-12 Conference Tournament Championship.
However, coming into this one, Princeton is going to present yet another significant, but different challenge for the Wildcats.
Coming into Thursday’s action, this should be another exciting matchup between the two programs, especially as Princeton loves to mix up its defenses, as well as play a slow and physical brand of basketball.
And despite their extensive and illustrious basketball history, both programs have only met once previously with the Wildcats owning the head-to-head series lead over the Tigers at 1-0.
Arizona won their previous and only matchup against Princeton in 1985 where the Wildcats came away with the 54-41 in Tucson.
Offensively, Arizona is going to need a focused and intentional effort against Princeton’s stifling defense if they are going to win this one. And beyond that, Arizona will need to bring the effort defensively if they hope to advance against 15th-seeded Princeton! Tip-off is set for 1:10 P.M. Tucson time!
