Continuing their busy day, Arizona Basketball saw its second player enter the portal as Adama Bal announced his intent to transfer.
Just a week after their disappointing loss to Princeton in the NCAA Tournament, Arizona Basketball already saw junior point guard Kerr Kriisa enter the Transfer Portal.
And continuing its busy day, the Wildcats saw another player announce his transfer as sophomore guard Adama Bal broke the news via social media on Thursday afternoon.
The sophomore guard came to Tucson ahead of the 2021-22 season, after originally hailing from France.
Bal finishes his career at Arizona after appearing in 49 games, averaging 2.0 points, 0.5 assists, and 0.7 rebounds per game while shooting a career 39.2 percent from three.
While there is continued speculation about the Arizona Basketball roster, Adama Bal is the latest Wildcat to enter the transfer portal.
As we all saw this season, Arizona Basketball had a rather successful season, especially when you consider that the Wildcats lost three players from the 2021-22 team to the NBA Draft, and this team still won the conference tournament championship and went to the NCAA Tournament.
Unfortunately, that was all overshadowed as the Wildcats failed to get past the first round of the NCAA Tournament as they lost in heartbreaking fashion to 15-seeded Princeton.
However, at this point, Tommy Lloyd and the Wildcats will have the daunting task of retooling and working to upgrade its roster at several spots, especially at guard as Kerr and Bal are no longer with the team.
Overall, this should be an interesting couple of weeks for Arizona Basketball fans, and with Adama leaving, we want to thank him for his time with the Wildcats and wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors!
