Just days after their disappointing loss in the NCAA Tournament, Arizona Basketball point guard Kerr Kriisa has entered the Transfer Portal.

It was just a week ago that Arizona Basketball had a disappointing end to the 2022-23 season with a loss to Princeton in the first round.

And after a bit of speculation about the future of the roster, Arizona’s Kerr Kriisa has entered the all too infamous transfer portal as that news broke via social media on Thursday afternoon.

The junior point guard came to Tucson ahead of the 2020-21 season, after hailing originally hailing from Estonia.

Kerr finishes his career at Arizona appearing in 76 games (70 starts), averaging 9.4 points, 4.7 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting a career 35.2 percent from three.

Over the past week, there has been speculation about the Arizona Basketball roster, and Kerr Kriisa is the first domino to fall this offseason.

This season was a rather fortuitous one for the Wildcats all things considered. And despite Arizona losing three players to the NBA Draft, the Wildcats surpassed all their pre-season expectations en route to finishing second in the Pac-12 in the regular season and winning the conference tournament championship.

Unfortunately, that was all for naught, as the Wildcats failed to get past the first round of the NCAA Tournament by losing to 15-seeded Princeton.

At this point, it is clear Tommy Lloyd’s and Arizona’s goal will be to upgrade this roster at several spots, and in particular at guard.

Either way, it should be an interesting couple of weeks for Arizona Basketball, and with Kerr leaving, we want to thank him for his time in Tucson and wish him the best wherever he goes!
