Continuing to build out their recruiting class for 2024, Arizona Football has received another commitment, this time from Carlsbad linebacker, Luke Ferrelli.
While Arizona Football is staying busy with their Spring practices, head coach Jedd Fisch and staff are still putting a ton of focus on the recruiting class of 2024.
And making news on Saturday afternoon, Arizona landed its fifth commitment in the class of 2024, adding three-star linebacker, Luke Ferrelli.
Announcing his commitment via social media, Ferrelli picked the Wildcats despite reportedly receiving interest from Army, Air Force, and a slew of Ivy League schools including; Cornell, Columbia, and Dartmouth along with several other schools.
A bit of an under-the-radar prospect in the class of 2024, Luke is a steadily-rising defensive prospect that hails from Carlsbad High School in Southern California.
Standing a massive, 6-feet-3-inches and weighing 215 pounds, Luke Ferrelli will add immediate depth and talent to the linebacking corps for Arizona Football.
Year two proved to many, that Arizona was a much-improved program; however, there were still plenty of areas in which the Wildcats needed to improve, particularly on defense.
And in the class of 2024, so far the Wildcats have gone defensive-heavy, adding three commitments, two being true linebackers, and one being a safety/linebacker hybrid.
Joining fellow 2024 commits Brandon Phelps, Jordan Washington, Kingston Lopa, and Nazaiah Caravallo, Luke is a skilled linebacker with great size, instincts, and playmaking ability.
Overall, he is a talented kid, and with his size, he should be a nice addition to the linebacking corps for the Wildcats.
This is a kid that could have a big impact with Arizona, and he plays with a physicality that the Wildcats have sorely been missing on defense! Here is just a small preview of what we could see in Tucson!
