Following a terrific junior season, Arizona Basketball star Azuolas Tubelis has officially been invited to the NBA Combine.
While coming back for the 2023-24 season may not be totally out of the question for Arizona Basketball star Azuolas Tubelis; however, the chances are still pretty slim, especially following Tuesday’s news.
Breaking via social media, it was announced that Tubelis is just one of 78 players they have been invited to participate in the annual Draft Combine that will be held in Chicago later this month, which means him coming back to Arizona seems less likely.
And after a stellar junior campaign, Arizona Basketball star Azuolas Tubelis will have quite the decision to make for himself.
Widely regarded as one of the best players in college basketball this past season, the Lithuanian forward is projected as a potential second-round pick or undrafted prospect, this despite leading the Pac-12 Conference in scoring and rebounding.
He is a talented scorer and player, but there are limitations to his game, which has some scouts second-guessing his long-term future in the NBA.
And regardless of his deficiencies as a basketball player, Tubelis is still a very talented collegiate player, and his return could mean the difference between Arizona being an average team or an elite one.
And with Arizona finally starting to make great progress in the recruiting class for 2023, the Wildcats could certainly use another year of Tubelis to push this team over the edge.
Either way, it should be an interesting couple of weeks for Arizona Basketball!
