Arizona basketball has never beaten the Buffalo Bulls

  • Overall series record: 0-1
  • First matchup: March 15, 2018
  • Last matchup: March 15, 2018
  • Last Score: Buffalo 89, Arizona 68

Arizona fans want to forget about this one, but it remains their only matchup in program history against Buffalo, another MAC team that finds its way onto the list. This one was a devastating upset just five years ago in the Big Dance that looked more like a slaughter for the Bulls.

After winning the Pac-12 regular season and tournament titles, Arizona earned a 4-seed in the 2018 NCAA Tournament just to fall 89-68 to 13-seed Buffalo in the first round. The Bulls shot 50% from outside the arc compared to just 11% for Arizona, who got 14 points and 13 rebounds from Deandre Ayton in a shocking defeat.
