With the 2023-23 Arizona Basketball season months away, you can begin making plans for 2024-25 as the Wildcats will play in ‘Battle for Atlantis’.
We are nearly into September, and with Arizona Basketball making preparations for the upcoming 2023-24 season, the Wildcats are already making for 2024-25.
Making news on Tuesday afternoon, it was announced that Arizona will reportedly be one of the eight teams to participate in the infamous Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament.
Announcing the news via social media, College Basketball insider Jon Rothstein announced the likely field which includes; Gonzaga, Indiana, Louisville, Creighton, West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Davidson in addition to Arizona.
The last time the Wildcats last played in the tournament was in 2017 where they finished in 8th place.
Returning to the infamous tournament in 2024, the Battle 4 Atlantis should present a tough challenge for Arizona Basketball.
Taking place on Paradise Island in The Bahamas during the Thanksgiving break, the three-day tournament should be a great litmus test for what could be a young Arizona Basketball team in 2024-25.
Beyond that, for those looking at the potential matchups for the Wildcats, I am certain many are excited about the possibility of playing Gonzaga (head coach Tommy Lloyd’s former team) in the tournament.
News about the official matchups should be released in the coming months!
