Arizona Basketball likely to schedule Florida Atlantic for 2023
Adding to a stacked non-conference schedule Arizona Basketball has scheduled a matchup with Florida Atlantic for December 23 in Las Vegas.
The Arizona Basketball team is gearing up for an exciting 2023-24 season, and with a jam-packed non-conference slate of games scheduled already, they have now added to a strong list of opponents by setting up a matchup with the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Owls.
Making news via social media, it was announced that Arizona is finalizing a matchup against FAU for December 23rd, where they would potentially play the Owls in Las Vegas.
This non-conference clash promises to be a thrilling matchup, pitting two talented programs against each other on a neutral site that adds an extra layer of anticipation to this game.
FAU also presents an excellent opportunity for Arizona, especially as the Wildcats will be breaking in a revamped roster next year, and they will also have the challenge of playing a talented team fresh off of a Final Four run in 2022-23.
Las Vegas has been kind to Arizona Basketball, so we will see if the Wildcats can bring back the magic in 2023-24.
Already scheduled for 2023-24, Arizona has a tough non-conference slate that will include a matchup at Duke (11/10), Michigan State (11/23), Wisconsin (12/9), at Purdue (12/16), Alabama (12/20), and now potentially Florida Atlantic (12/23).
Should this game be finalized, it is an opportunity for Arizona to gain valuable experience and build momentum as they head into conference play. Non-conference matchups like this one will play a pivotal role in determining an NCAA Tournament berth/seeding and could prepare the Wildcats for Pac-12 play.
As the countdown to the 2023-24 basketball season begins, Wildcat fans will have plenty to look forward to this season with several marquee matchups. We will see if Arizona is up to the task!
