Arizona signed two linebackers and three defensive linemen in its 2025 class. With injuries decimating Arizona during the 2024 season, six of the front seven defensive starters versus Arizona State have eligibility remaining in 2025. Continuing to develop depth on the front seven is critical for Arizona in 2025 and beyond.
Defensive lineman Stanley Ta’ufo’ou is the only Arizona front seven starter without 2025 eligibility. Tre Smith and Ta’ita’i Uiagalelei tied for the Arizona lead in 2024 with 8.0 tackles for loss and give the Wildcats a good foundation up front. Arizona regressed significantly defensively in 2024 with the injuries too much to overcome.
Arizona was 110th nationally allowing 31.8 points per game and 109th with opponents averaging 413.0 total yards per game. Improving defensively is essential for Arizona to be competitive in 2025. Staying healthy should held Arizona gain continuity defensively entering the 2025 offseason.
Arizona has one edge rusher and two LBs on its roster from the 2024 class. Expect Brent Brennan and defensive coordinator Duane Akina to be active pursuing players on the front seven. The return of Taye Brown and hopefully Jacob Manu from injury will provide Arizona with an experienced and productive LB tandem.

Robinson was a two-way player who ran for 893 yards with four 100-yard games and nine TDs in 2024. On defense, Robinson had 79 tackles, 11.0 TFLs and 2.0 sacks in his high school career.
Jones is the 1,521st prospect, 165 defensive lineman and 20th player in Arizona out of Phoenix Mountain Pointe. Jones had 84 tackles, 24.5 TFLs, 10.5 sacks, 9.0 quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and one recovered in his high school career. His 247Sports profile lists Jones at 6'1 and 275 pounds.
Jones is the 2,092nd prospect, 202nd LB and 181st player in California out of Irving Crean Lutheran. Jones is another versatile athlete who had 30 receptions for 283 receiving yards and 10 TDs as a receiver. On defense, Jones was prolific with 375 career tackles, 16.5 TFLs, 2.0 sacks, 9.0 QB hurries three interceptions and two passes defended.
Pese is the 1,162nd prospect, 124th DL and 88th player in California out of Santa Barbara Bishop Garcia Diego. Pese had 110 career tackles, 18.0 TFLs, 5.0 sacks and 25 QB hurries. At 6'2 and 275 pounds expect Pese to continue to fill out to be ready to play on the interior of the DL.
At 6'7 and 365 pounds, Siulepa is the biggest and maybe most intriguing 2025 Arizona signees. Siulepa is originally from Auckland, New Zealand and played in 2024 at Garden City Community College in Kansas. Siulepa had 16.0 tackles, 3.5 TFLs, 1.0 sack and 1.0 forced fumble in 2024.
