Arizona Commit Cody “Big Sack” Creason is a Already a Champion
Arizona’s Our Kinda Guy Cody Creason’s really looking forward to coming to Tucson in the next month to get started on his first season as a Wildcat.
Cody Creason played Offensive Guard for Folsom High School in Folsom, California. He played on a blue turf field just like they do at Boise State which was only one of many schools Creason got offers from. He also got offers from seven Pac-12 schools including Arizona, Cal, Oregon State, Washington State, Colorado, and Utah.
The four-star recruit is well-loved by Pac-12 coaches, and were most probably hugely disappointed when Cody signed with our Arizona Wildcats! Funny, 247Sports.com predicted that there was a 50% chance that Creason would choose Cal, 33% Oregon, and 17% Arizona, boy were they wrong.
Here’s Cody’s highlight video from Arizona Football for your enjoyment:
Cody signed with Arizona last July, and he had plenty of teammates signing with him including the four-star quarterback he’s been protection Jake Browning who has signed to play at the University of Washington.

Creason is ranked #34 in the nation for Offensive Guards, he stands six-foot four inches and weighs 280 pounds. Cody jokes “[I] Haven’t been 260 since sophomore year,” so much for ESPN stats, as I have found, they are rarely exact as these young men grow so fast.
Cody also played Center for Folsom’s basketball team, but football came first much to the dismay of the basketball team who didn’t always get the benefit of having Creason play. What was really exciting for Cody was that he and his Folsom high school team won the California State Division 1 Championship; he’s already a champion and no stranger to entering a stadium in grand style.
In the Championship game, fifth ranked Folsom faced a 14-0 Oceanside team, and teammate Browning scored six touchdowns frustrating the Oceanside coaches.
The final score was 68-7, Folsom won by a commanding 61 points! According to Mitch Stevens of MaxPreps.com Folsom’s co-head coach Kris Richardson said,”We just let it fly and played our butts off.” The team tried to rest their first string even to try to allow for the score to be closer.
The Folsom High School varsity football team went 44-2 on the season, losing only to De La Salle who is a powerhouse team themselves ranking second nationally.
And he received a stunning parting gift for winning the Championship:
According to ESPN Scouting reports, Creason “Possesses excellent height and while he needs to add more mass he does look to have a thick build and carry some more weight than is listed. Displays very good playing strength.” Even though scouts feel Cody could benefit from red-shirting his first year, but maybe they haven’t watched him play lately or at least in his state championship game. Lord knows Arizona needs great Offensive linemen and this linemen is ready to come to Arizona.
Cody told me that his nick name is “Big Sack” which I found to be appropriate and wanted to share. Cody wants his new Wildcat fans to know that the team he most wants to beat is ASU although there’s also Oregon too, but then there’s USC and UCLA…so many to want to beat!
As far as his message to you all? “I’m just ready to get to Tucson and start working!”
Wildcat fans too, Cody, Wildcat fans cannot wait for you to come to Tucson either.
BEARDOWN CODY! Thanks for sharing your time with us.
