The Pac-12 men’s basketball season is officially at the half way point and postseason awards are starting to get closer. Some of these award races are starting to shape up, but some are still very open. I think the Player of the Year and Coach of the Year awards are still very much anyones to take and I would not be surprised if the two people who are listed in this article are not the winners come award season. Most improved player is probably a shoo-in for a certain Washington State player and Freshman of the Year is probably all wrapped up by an Arizona Wildcat. Defensive Player of the Year is a race that just opened up last week with the dismissal of Robert Upshaw from Washington, so that will be an interesting award to watch.
