Damon Stoudamire

It’s been nice having Arizona legend Damon Stoudamire back in Tucson the past few years.  During his time in Tucson he was of the smoothest players Arizona has ever seen.

He was selected to the All Pac-10 First Team three times and was named the Pac-10 Player of the year in 1995, along with UCLA great Ed O’Bannon.

Mighty Mouse’s triple-double came during his senior year in Tucson on February 25, 1995.  The Cats were playing the Oregon Ducks at McKale Center.

Stoudamire was from Oregon.  Every time he went to play the Ducks at the famous Mac Court, the Eugene fans would show their displeasure towards Mighty Mouse,  for choosing Arizona over his home state.

In his final game against the Ducks, Stoudamire had the last laugh: he dropped 35 points that afternoon.  He also added 12 rebounds and 14 assists to his stat line in Arizona’s 97-76 win.
