Arizona Football quarterback Zach Werlinger takes us through the preparations and stylings of this season’s Wildcats photo shoot, and it is hilarious folks.

Are you one of those Arizona Football fans that watched the video showing us what the new Nike uniforms and decided you didn’t like them? Maybe you rushed to judgment? Well, just take ten minutes out of your busy day and take in all the glory of roughly ten Wildcats and their new uniforms. I think you may agree with me that the uniforms aren’t as bad as all the fans have complained about but I wonder if it is a gender thing. What I mean is, do the guys like them less than the women?

First of all, the pants are shorter than last season but are a nice fit. The numbers are big and a different font. The pants are a solid color with a beautiful block /A\ on the front right side near the belt area. The gradient color strips on the edge of the pants are gone. The helmets still have the words ‘Hard Edge’ on the back, and the blue matte helmets with a red block A are a hit with fans and media alike. There are all-red and all-blue combination uniforms which I think are pretty slick.

When fans saw the reveal, they weren’t too pleased, but hey when are Arizona Football fans every happy (ha ha)? Honestly, I don’t understand all the complaints; they are basic uniforms, classic. I love the huge numbers because I will be able to point out the correct player to Brian Jeffries during the USC game if he has me back this season. It’s tough to see the numbers on the jerseys for the announcers from way up in the media booths.

More from Wildcats Football

Personally, I would like to see some cool Wildcats touches on the uniforms, a play on claws or something fierce like the Oregon Ducks uniforms does with Duck Wings and different coloring. I think Nike reserves the best uniforms for Oregon, Phil Knight wouldn’t want Arizona’s unis to show up the Ducks

But the focus of this post is not necessarily whether you love or hate the uniforms, it is the fun the players had in putting together the video for their fans. Zach Werlinger has reached a professional status as far as a broadcaster and has carried his enjoyable performances from last season into the summer. There is no doubt it was a hot Tucson day when the new uniform video was shot, but Werlinger knows his teammates, and he kept the comedy coming. I literally laughed out loud a couple of times.

From finding out the players favorite poses to their preferred red carpet attitude to whether they like the colors of the uni’s and even down to struggles of taking off their uniforms, this is a very entertaining video production not to be missed.
