To capitalize on Arizona Football’s tremendous win over ASU in November, the University of Arizona came up with a fantastic billboard, one that needs to find its way to Tempe.

AZ Cruzin on Twitter developed a beautiful billboard reminding everyone of the Wildcats 56-35 win over Arizona State in November, without attempting a pass in the second half. After Zona Zealots shared it on social media, we got a huge response! People want to donate to the cause, so the next step was to figure out where to put it if anyone ever coördinated this feat.

Those living in Tucson is used to seeing red and blue throughout the city, in classrooms, and at stores. Having some Arizona red and blue in the Phoenix area is not as common, but it is a welcome change when spotted. Zona Zealots scouted the ASU area, and we think the newest Arizona Football billboard could easily find a home in the Tempe area.

It was a sweltering summer in Phoenix, with temperatures hitting 120 degrees in June. Many plants have died or are struggling. Annuals and gardens are few and far between.

People are weary as the temperatures rise again this week after a nice break at the start of August. Overall the Valley of the Sun could use a little pick-me-up. A brightly colored billboard would definitely add some pop. We found some great locations around ASU.

Gammage Auditorium is well-known in Arizona for its architecture. But it’s an odd color. The entrance may be a great location for the 56-35 billboard.  Not only is it an ugly pink, but there is also a large grass lawn where Apache merges into Mill Ave.  The 56-35 billboard would serve as a greeter for Arizona State students while offsetting the pink.

Zona Zealots also considers the bridge over University a fantastic place for the Wildcat Football billboard. University Drive cuts through the heart of Arizona State, and many fans use it to get to Sun Devil Stadium. The billboard would also be greeted by rush hour traffic as commuters cut through ASU to get to the airport or their jobs in Phoenix.

The Arizona State buses are seen driving throughout the East Valley.  Not only was this bus sighted just yards from Sun Devil Stadium and Wells Fargo Arena, but it’s also not unusual to see them on the US 60. The buses are probably headed to the ASU campus out at Williams-Gateway Airport in Mesa. A smaller version of Arizona’s final score over the Sun Devils would look great on one of the buses. And think of all the advertising for Arizona as the ASU bus treks back and forth from the ASU main campus to ASU-East.

Arizona fans in Tucson love to see newscasts in late November reporting the yellow A on “A Mountain” in Tempe painted red and blue before the Territorial Cup. Wildcat fans in the Phoenix area enjoy a quick drive-by in person to see Arizona school colors at ASU. Tempe’s A Mountain is a perfect setting for the 56-35 Arizona Football billboard.

Sometimes it’s hard to wake up in the morning and get to an early college class. What better way to light a fire under Sun Devil students than to put a billboard up at this corner, near dorms and lot 59 where many ASU students park for classes. While the students may not want to be greeted with the 56-35 red and blue reminder, we at Zona Zealots want the ASU students to be alert for class. We feel the Wildcat billboard will do the trick and give them a jump-start.

There are many more unique locations in Tempe for the magnificent 56-35 football billboard, but we couldn’t leave out Sun Devil Stadium. We hear it got a face lift since last season. Our red and blue billboard would be the icing on the cake and the finishing touch for Sun Devils as they arrive at their games.
