Premium Sports, led by Coach Fig and Coach Ed, former Hawkins High School coaches, is churning out four and five-star talent left and right. Kevin Sumlin can now get to know them.

If you think that Arizona Football has not offered four-star athletes in California, think again. Oh Yeah, the offers are out there, the question is, are the Arizona coaches talking to these guys? What will happen with these three four-star Rich Rodriguez offered recruits? We will find out, but one thing is for sure, Kevin Sumlin and his staff should probably not sleep on Kyle Ford, Jonah Tauanu’u, and DeGabriel Floyd.

We first brought you an interview with Kyle Ford when we spotted him catching every ball that came his way during a Premium Sports 7-on-7 training camp competing against the very best. He had one offer from Colorado. That was then. It was only a matter of time until NCAA Football DeGabriel Floyd coaches saw what we saw.

More from Football Recruiting

Ford has grown!! The Orange Lutheran High School wide receiver has grown an inch and at least five pounds of muscle and now stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 200 pounds. He has offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Cal, Georgia, Purdue, his coveted school USC, Washington, Oregon and more. what impresses me about Ford is not just how the ball seems to stick in his hands no matter who the defender, but his personality. He will be great in front of the camera and in interviews, he is the entire package.

Ford is ranked the No. 9 wide receiver in California and No. 13 in the Nation. The top two 2019 class recruits have verbally committed to Georgia, Jaden Haselwood, and Dominick Blaylock, both from Georgia. No Pac-12 school has landed a wide receiver in the class of 2019 to this point according to 247Sports.

Here is our first interview with Kyle (2:39 mark), the same gregarious young man just a little younger, but reaching the goals he first set out to carry out:

Next up is DeGabriel Floyd. Wildcats fans wrote off Floyd after he committed to USC, but the situation has changed. After the coaching staff at Hawkins moved on to other schools, Floyd moved as well. This next season he will play for Westlake High School. He moved to Westlake mostly for academics as he explains it. He knows to make it in college you have to be able to handle the books, and if you don’t make it in the NFL or you do, you need to have something to fall back on.

Floyd has also grown in stature. We first met him two years ago at Hawkins High School, he is quite the man now standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 220 pounds. This outside linebacker and running back is a versatile athlete who is coveted by coaches on the high school level let alone the NCAA. He has offers from USC, UCLA, Oregon, ASU, Georgia, Utah, Notre Dame, Michigan, Texas A&M (So Sumlin knows of him then?), Florida State and more.

This was our third interview with Floyd:

Here was the second just before he committed to USC:

Lastly, Narbonne High Scool tackle Jonah Tauanu’u. Taunanu’u stands 6-foot-5 and weight 274 pounds. He is ranked No. 9 in the state of California for his position. He has offers from USC, UCLA, Utah, Washington, Nebraska, Oregon, Texas, Michigan, and LSU to name a few. All you need to do is stand next to this young man and you know he will do his job. He seems non-committal to a school at this point. Narbonne High School is a Los Angeles City powerhouse and is the same school as current Wildcat wide receiver Devaughn Cooper went to.

Jonah is ranked 103 in the ESPN Jr. 300, and No. 9 on the list of California recruits six behind DeGabriel Floyd who is sitting at No. 3 and before Kyle Ford at No. 17.
