The second match up of the season for these two teams was a little bit closer then the first, but the Wildcats still were able to find a way to win in four sets, 25-17, 25-17, 23-25, 25-17. This time the Wildcats had home court advantage and had extra motivation with it being senior night for three seniors and the last game of the season. Paige Whipple was on fire with 19 kills to lead her team and Dahlke was had 13. No better way to go out as a senior then beating those Devils!
The win also made it 4-1 Arizona.

In one of the most highly anticipated games early in the Pac-12, the Wildcats opened up Pac-12 play against the Devils at home. Coming into this game, the Devils were one of the few teams left that were undefeated and were even ranked No. 3 in the country. Their confidence was at an all-time high, but that quickly changed as the Wildcats played two solid halves of basketball and won 84-78. They earned themselves another 1/2 point in the series, and the difference of the game was Deandre Ayton, leading his team with 23 points and 19 points. The Devils had no answer for the freshman phenom!

The second matchup of the season between Arizona and ASU basketball, was another crucial moment in this series, this time with the Wildcats on the road in Tempe. Arizona got off to a fast start, and would have the lead for most of the game, however, the Devils would make a game out of it, cutting the lead down to seven with less then a minute to go. The Wildcats and Ayton though would prove to be too much for the Sun Devils, leaving Tempe with a 77-70 victory and a 1/2 point in the series, making it 5-1 Arizona. Ayton led the way in this one, scoring 25 points and grabbing 17 rebounds.
