No. 3 – Houston Cougars

Conference: American Athletic Conference (AAC)

2017 Record: 7-5 (5-3)

Revenge! That’s what this game is!

The Wildcats lost narrowly in Tucson last season, but now it is Arizona’s turn to hopefully return the favor.

It’ll be their first road game, and an early one at that, as kick-off is slated for 9 am Mountain Standard Time. Kevin Sumlin will return to his old stomping grounds when they face Houston, and it’ll easily be one of Arizona’s tougher games.

The Cougars have a lot of talent, and more importantly a lot talent that is returning from last year, namely Ed Oliver. The highly touted defensive lineman enters his junior season and will undoubtedly lead a talented group.

Disregard their 7-5 record in 2017, as I see the Cougars mirroring more of the 2016 success rather than last years. Given that, I see Houston being one of Arizona’s tougher opponents for 2018.
