Ranking Arizona Football’s Opponents from Worst to Best
No. 9 – Colorado Buffaloes
2017 Record: 5-7 (2-7)
One of the more difficult teams to predict in this projection, I feel it’s fair to put Colorado at nine. A big reason why is that the Buffaloes lose quite a bit of talent, primarily on offense.
Quarterback Steven Montez will undoubtedly lead the Buffaloes offensively, however, the Buffaloes lose a lot of production in the departures of running back Phillip Lindsay as well as receivers Bryce Bobo, Devin Ross and Shay Fields.
Defensively, Colorado returns a number of players, but as you may recall, Colorado was absolutely shredded in Khalil Tate’s big time performance in Boulder.
Tate ran for an FBS record 327 yards by a quarterback on 14 carries with four touchdowns.
You can re-live those moments here:
Colorado comes to Tucson in November and will play the Wildcats on a Friday night. After a shorter week on travel, this will be a fairly tough game for the Buffaloes.
Given their uncertainty at a number of positions, look for this one to be one of Arizona’s easier games.
