No. 7 – Washington State Cougars

2017 Record: 9-4 (6-3)

If we have ever learned anything about Washington State in Pac-12 play, it is to never count out ‘the Pirate’! Head coach Mike Leach and the WSU Cougars score, and it’s what they have always done best.

From first observation, yes, the Cougars lose a lot of talent, and I mean a lot! Gone is quarterback Luke Falk, receivers Tavares Martin Jr. and Isaiah Johnson-Mack as well as running back Jamal Morrow. Even more unfortunate, is that back-up quarterback Tyler Hilinski tragically took his own life following their season.

While there has been a lot of things going on in Pullman, I still feel like Leach will somehow put together a solid team.

They have a solid group of quarterback in waiting, and the Cougars always seem to have a bevy of receivers ready to torch the Wildcats’ secondary.

To their benefit, this game will be later in the year, and will played in Pullman, however, I don’t see WSU being quite as tough as they were last year. For that, WSU is No. 7 on my list!
