No. 6 – Cal Golden Bears

2017 Record: 5-7 (2-7)

This is a team I see making a bigger jump in 2018, and for good reason. The Golden Bears finished 5-7 (2-7) in head coach Justin Wilcox’s first season, losing close games to Arizona, Stanford and UCLA.

While their schedule looks to be relatively difficult this season, they do however return a lot of talent, especially on offense. Returning are; quarterback Ross Bowers, running back Patrick Laird as well as a majority of their receivers and offensive line.

Defensive is where they have the most questions, but overall it should still be a solid group.

It’s worth noting that Cal played Arizona extremely tough last season, going to double over-time, where the Wildcats won in dramatic fashion. In 2018, the Golden Bears will come to Tucson with a solid group looking to avenge that loss from last season.

Definitely feel this won’t be as ‘easy’ of a game as it may seem on paper, but luckily the Cats have home field advantage.
