No. 1 – Offensive Line

It shouldn’t come as a surprise, but when you virtually replace your entire offensive line from the season before, there are going to be a lot of concerns.

The Wildcats have some talent, but the depth chart looks a little scary at this point.

Arizona will be without Layth Friekh for the first two games, as he serves a suspension – part of a new NCAA rule that awarded him a fifth-year of eligibility. In addition to the absence of Friekh, the Wildcats could be without Nathan Eldridge and Alex Kosinski this season due to injury.

From there, the number of starts up front gets really small, and that’s a scary thing for a team that’s trying to keep a potential Heisman candidate up on his feet. An inexperienced offensive line versus a team that finished 44th in rushing defense last season could pose some problems this Saturday.

As we’ve stated, the Cougars return quite a few talented defensive players, and the size they have up front could be the biggest match-up of the game!

That’s why this position is easily the most important to look out for not only in this game Saturday, but for 2018! If Arizona is going to win this weekend, this group needs to be ready to go, and gelled.
