No. 3 – The Play of the Wide Receiver’s/ Tight End’s

But the Wildcats have 578 receiving yards in two games? Well yes, but outside of  Shawn Poindexter, Shun Brown and Tony Ellison, there’s really nothing to write home about.

Through those first two games, those three have accounted for roughly two-thirds of the Wildcats’ receiving yards/ receptions. Beyond that? No one has really stepped up.

Even more concerning is that Arizona has had just one receiving touchdown so far. If the Wildcats are to be a better, and a more balanced team in the passing game this year, more receivers and targets need to step up.

To me, the production hasn’t been all that impressive, and for the first two games, Arizona doesn’t have very many deep threats from what I’ve noticed. They also seem to have difficulties in getting separation too. Luckily, there is still plenty of time and opportunity for others to step up and improve, but it’s going to have to happen quickly.

Still among this group are; Cedric Peterson, Stanley Berryhill III, Jamie Nunley and Bryce Wolma among others too.

If Arizona is going to continue to produce on the offensive side of the ball, especially at a much higher level, they’re going to need to provide more help to Khalil Tate.

This weekend, look to see how this group goes out there and performs? Is it the same guys making the biggest impact, or does someone new start to have a more relevant role?
