The Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award goes to Arizona Football RB J.J. Taylor (Redshirt Sophomore out of Corona, Calif.)

The Arizona Football team proved they can win in the air and on the ground as they beat the Oregon State Beavers 35-14 with 442 total rushing yards. JJ Taylor accounted for 284 yards and Gary Brightwell 113 yards. Taylor, the 2017 Freshman Co-Offensive Player of the Year, put on a show in Corvallis. What was also impressive, is that the Arizona defense held the Beavers to just 97 total rushing yards in the contest.

Taylor had himself a career day, rushing for 284 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries, both stats a career-best. With Taylor’s 284 yards, he set an FBS single-game best this season. The stat also came in as the fourth-best single-game total in Arizona Football history. He is the 15th player in Wildcats history to rush for 200+ yards in one game.

His 62-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter ended up being the longest play of the season on the ground for the Wildcats. After the touchdown, Taylor thanked each of the players on his Offensive Line. The 62-yard touchdown earned him the “76” Fan Fueled Moment of the week

On top of all that, Taylor returned one kickoff for 21 yards on special teams. Add that to the 284 rushing yards as a running back and that gave him 305 all-purpose yards. It was the most by a Pac-12 player this season.

More from Wildcats Football

Note: The most yardage any other Pac-12 player has earned is 265 all-purpose yards in any game this season making Taylor the No. 1 player in the Pac-12 in all-purpose yards.

Taylor is proving that he just gets better every season.

Last season, Taylor made this 69-yard touchdown against Hawaii last season and drew tons of praise from IMG Sports Network announcers Brian Jeffries and Lamont Lovett. “JJ Taylor just rockets up the sideline, he’s my favorite player right there, JJ Taylor putting on a show,” said Lovett. “He is explosive, he is shifty, I tell you what during pre-season camp in August he was the hardest guy for the defense to tackle, and you can see why,” answered Jeffries.

But it was his game against the Oregon State where he ran all over the Beavers:

Other Wildcats making news: Colin Schooler, LB was nominated for Defensive POW in the Pac-12, Cody Creason made the PFF College Team of the Week. We look forward to seeing the Wildcats beat the Trojans at home this weekend, wouldn’t that be sweet?
