Arizona Basketball: Wildcats in the Pros, who and where are they now?
By David Rosen
Steve Kerr
No list would be complete without the one and only legendary Steve Kerr. Known for his three-point shooting ability and taking “the shot” in the NBA Finals to help the Chicago Bulls secure another championship, Kerr has now moved onto becoming a legendary coach.
In his fifth season as head coach for the Golden State Warriors, Kerr is looking to become three-peat champion. C’mon Kerr let other coaches win. Currently his team his 15-7, second in the Western Conference behind the Los Angeles Clippers – that won’t last!
Some of his key players, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green have been injured early on this season, but even that being the case they are still holding their own. As each game and season goes by every team will give their best shot, similar to what it’s like for Arizona Wildcat players. In the end, Warriors will find a way to prevail because they are “Warriors”.
Kerr isn’t the only former Wildcat on the Warriors. Bruce Fraser, who played for the Wildcats from 1984-1987, has been an assistant coach for the Warriors since 2014.
