Arizona Basketball heads out on the road to take on Stanford as they look to improve to 3-0 in PAC-12 Conference play.

Sean Miller and his Arizona Basketball team take their talents to Northern California as they look to build upon their hot start PAC-12 Conference play. The Wildcats are coming off an overtime thriller against Utah in which the team had to fight tooth and nail until the final seconds. To make sure Wildcats fans left happily from McKale after a thrilling win, the Cats didn’t let up and made the plays they needed to beat the Utes.

The Wildcats now look to capture that winning feeling once more on the road and continue their success against Stanford Wednesday night.

More from Arizona Wildcats

Stanford, 7-7 overall and 0-2 in the conference, are coming home after having a lost twice on a road trip down south to USC and UCLA. Both of these games for the Stanford Cardinal were not close contests as they lost to the Bruins by 22 points and the Trojans by 11 points.

The Cardinal will look to regain their confidence in the comforts of their own arena as they welcome Arizona Wildcats to town.

Stanford will lean on their big man KZ Okpala who is averaging 16 points a game. The Wildcats will get their filling of the big man as he plays most the game at 32 minutes a game. This will mean that Arizona’s big men, Chase Jeter and Ira Lee, will have to play solid defense down low and do their best to stay out of foul trouble.

The game start is rather late at 9:00 pm Tucson time, and 11:00 pm Eastern time. Clearly, the Pac-12 could have planned this better.

While the big men have their hands full down low, the Wildcats guards will need to look to contain Daejon Davis who runs the show for the Stanford Cardinal. As the point guard of the team, Davis does a really nice job of getting his teammates the ball as he averages four assists a game. Not only he is able to distribute the basketball, but Daejon can also score the ball. As the ball distributing guard is also averaging about 11 points a game.

Any road game against a PAC-12 opponent is tough and playing against the Cardinal will be no different for the Wildcats. As not only will they have to deal with the players on the floor but also the Stanford crowd. As they will also pack a punch with their student section, crazy band and an even crazy mascot who sports a tree costume.
