On signing day, President Robbins sat down with Brian Jeffries and listed the reasons he came to Tucson. He said he loves the people and incredible alumni that love the University of Arizona. Robbins felt Tucson had everything he was looking for in a school. He also explained that the school has the number one space program in the country as well as the top dance and two medical schools.

Robbins said he chose Coach Kevin Sumlin because he had watched what he had done in Texas, he is a natural-born leader and cares about his players. He is optimistic because Sumlin has put his system in place and knows the type of players he wants to recruit, mature and capable players. We are looking forward to football season.
