Arizona basketball commit Terry Armstrong confirms his commitment to Arizona during the Ballislife event.

Speculation on social media was that Arizona basketball four star commit Terry Armstrong was opening his recruitment after removing his pinned tweet on Twitter, which was his announcement that he committed to Arizona. It was confirmed per PlayersProgram.com that he is staying and not going anywhere, which came directly from Armstrong himself at the BallisLife All-American event.

His removal of his pinned tweet came after Boogie Ellis announced he was decommitting from Duke. Armstrong did though retweet Ellis’s announcement as well. Maybe he is trying to convince him to come play at Arizona? Who knows. Or maybe he just wanting to share his opinion on the situation.

More from Arizona Wildcats

Whatever the case may be, Wildcat fans can remain calm now as the four-star commit confirms his commitment to Arizona. This also ensures that the Wildcats will have one of the top recruiting classes of 2019. They did have the No.1 class previously, but that spot was taken over by Duke.

At the Ballislife All-American event, he soared above the rest and won the slam dunk contest! In the final, he competed against Duke commit Cassisu Stanley and earned himself a perfect score with vicious slam. This isn’t the first slam dunk contest he won. Armstrong won the American Family High School Dunk Contest back in April.

This was one of his dunks in the Ballislife competition that helped him secure the contest, over a 6 foot 10 player!

Listed at 6 foot 6 and 185 pounds, Armstrong like future teammate and commit Zeke Nnaji, is a versatile player. He will bring size and strength to this team, both at the guard position and down low in the paint. More then anything, Armstrong knows how to dunk! Expect to see many ESPN Top 10 highlights from him at the college and professional ranks.

This dunk earned him a perfect 50 and helped Armstrong secure the Ballislife Slam Dunk Title:

At Zona Zealots, we are excited to hear the news of Terry Armstrong confirming his commitment to play basketball at Arizona next season. The 2019-20 season is still six months away, but that wont stop us from being excited about what lies ahead for this program. Bear Down, Arizona!
