Arizona basketball officially now has five signed commits for the Class of 2019 with the latest addition of Zeke Nnjai.

Official! Four-star power forward out of Hopkins, MN, Zeke Nnaji, officially signed and became an Arizona Wildcat. The Class of 2019 became that much stronger with the addition of Nnaji. According to most media outlets, including 24/7 Sports, the Arizona basketball team, has the No.1 Class for 2019 – no doubt about that now!

Already stacked full of talent, the Arizona basketball team now adds size and strength to its line up. Nnaji listed at 6 foot 11 and 215 pounds, will give the Wildcats that added depth in the backcourt alongside Chase Jeter, Ira Lee and Stone Gettings. Last season they didn’t have that type of depth on the inside, this upcoming season they do, which takes the pressure off just one guy to perform.

This class of incoming freshman is made up of two five-stars, Nico Mannion and Josh Green, two four-stars in Terry Armstrong and Nnaji and one three-star Christian Koloko – wow. All of these guys can play and will have an immediate impact. Koloko is the only one that may take some time to groom as he will need to bulk up. If not this year, next year for sure watch out for him.

Nnaji has the whole package. For someone of his size, his ball handling skills, shooting touch, foot work and ability to assert himself down low on both ends of the floor, makes him a versatile player that can play the four and five with no problem. With a little more strength and conditioning, Nnaji is going to be a problem for most teams to handle.

This past senior year he averaged 25.1 points per game, helped his team to a state title and was even a finalist for Mr.Minnesota (award given to the best high school basketball player in the state of Minnesota). He may not average the same amount per game when he plays at Arizona, but he will certainly fill up the stat sheet.

With a lot of the attention given to the Mannion and Green, which they deserve, the other three incoming freshman are going to surprise a lot of people this next season. Michigan had it’s Fab 5, the Wildcats have their own version coming to Tucson. Imagine all five on the court at the same time, that would be interesting. Very likely we won’t see that, but that’s how good this incoming class is.
