2008 was a strange year for Arizona Basketball, one in each the Wildcats were guided by interim head coach, Russ Pennell, and had a trio of talent in Jordan Hill, Chase Budinger, and Nic Wise.

On December 23, 2008, the Jayhawks, fresh off a championship season, came to Tucson for this Big-12/ Pac-10 showdown.

Starting a little sluggish, Arizona would fall behind early, trailing the Jayhawks at the half 38-35. The Wildcats would again start the second half a little sluggish, allowing Kansas to extend their lead to 44-35.

Then the Wildcats woke up! Arizona would go on a 29-6 run, turning this one into an eventual route!

Hill would finish the game with a game-high of 23 points, while Jamelle Horne ended the game with 19 points and 13 rebounds, meanwhile Wise would add 16 points of his own!

Arizona would come away with the 84-67 win!
