Arizona Football is really rolling on the recruiting trail now picking up yet another commitment from Junior College defensive end, Alejandro Navarro-Silva.

We’re not even completely through June yet, and already, the Arizona Football team is up to 11 commitments in the class of 2021. After receiving a commitment from TE/QB Colby Powers last night, Arizona has received yet another commitment, this one coming from Junior College defensive end, Alejandro Navarro-Silva.

A standout defensive end from Riverside College in Riverside, CA, Alejandro took to social media early on Saturday afternoon to announce his decision.

Flying a bit under the radar in his recruitment, this appears to be a solid addition by the Wildcats, as Navarro-Silva has great size, and standing roughly 6-feet-5-inches and 220 pounds, that certainly seems to be the case.

This past season at RCC, Alejandro totaled 40 tackles (25 solo) and 2.5 sacks in 12 games played. That’s not bad production if you ask me!

It’s apparent from the attention the Wildcat coaches are giving, it’s that defense is going to be a major priority and focus. Adding a junior college kid like Alejandro who will be more physically mature and ready, could potentially allow him to have an immediate impact!

Those are the kinds of qualities and traits you need in a player right now, especially if you are going to truly transform and elevate the level of play from a defense that has virtually been non-existent for almost the past decade now.

On film, I really like this kid as he possesses good explosiveness off the line of scrimmage and keeps a good pad height. He also has good technique when attacking the line of scrimmage, and he also has a great motor, both things that should certainly be welcomed by Wildcat fans everywhere!

Just see for yourself!

I for one am intrigued by this commitment and look to continue in following how this kid develops! As always, Bear Down Arizona!
