Appearing in his first game since the lockdown, former Wildcat Deandre Ayton shined bright in the Phoenix Suns’ first scrimmage in the Bubble.

I know I sound like a broken record at this point as I continue to hype up former Wildcat Deandre Ayton, but I still think we are on the verge of seeing some truly incredibly things from him in the NBA. Heck, just weeks ago I highlighted why I think he will have a big Summer with the Suns in the NBA restart.

Appearing in his first game since in 142 days, and on his birthday no less, the Suns took to the bubble in Orlando, FL, taking on the Utah Jazz in their first scrimmage!

Needing big things from their big man, Ayton surely looked like he’s a man on a mission in this NBA restart, as he again is looking to prove his doubters wrong.

Every bit looking like a very competitive NBA team even if it was just a scrimmage, the Suns looked good. That is thanks in large part to the two-way play of Ayton.

In the action he saw on the court, Ayton finished his evening scoring 13 points and grabbing eight rebounds. He only trailed Mikal Bridges who lead the team in scoring with 14 points on the evening.

However, it was Ayton that was once again a big focal point in the game.

He looked quick, he looked agile, he looked confident! Everything you would want to see in a former No. 1 pick. And beyond that, he even added to his rapidly improving defensive resume by getting a strip that led to a fast break score on the other end.

However, it was his shooting touch that seemed to steal the show. Not typically known for his range, he finally was able to put that on display as he hit his first three-pointer with the Suns.

Phoenix would go on to win this one 101-88 and again even though it was just a scrimmage, I think we are about to see great things from our former Wildcat!

Just take a look at what Ayton and the Suns did tonight!
