The Arizona Women’s Basketball season is nearly upon us, and the Wildcats have a lot to look forward to as they enter the year ranked No. 8 in the Pre-Season polls.

We’re getting closer and closer to the start of the Arizona Women’s Basketball and that’s a good thing for us fans as there is a lot to look forward to with this group in the upcoming 2020-21 season.

As we all saw this off-season, it has been a rather successful one for the Wildcats, and that just goes beyond Adia Barnes welcoming her beautiful daughter, Capri, into this World just a couple weeks ago.

However, that’s not all! Arizona Women’s Basketball has had a myriad of good things happen this off-season, and in case you haven’t paid attention, here is the recap…

Arizona star Aari McDonald announced she would be returning for her senior season, graduate transfer Trinity Baptiste will be immediately eligible, Shaina Pellington is now eligible after coming to Tucson in 2019-20, incoming Indiana transfer Bendu Yeaney was granted a hardship waiver making her eligible, and they also added talented players like; Lauren Ware and Derin Erdogan among others.

Given that the Wildcats are just one year removed from one of their best seasons in program history, they virtually return almost everyone from that team, plus they add a lot of talent.

To say that the Wildcats should have a very competitive group is a major understatement, and naturally, College Basketball pundits are taking notice.

Making news via Social Media on Tuesday afternoon was that ESPN released their Pre-Season Top 25 poll, and coming in at No. 8 on the list is our Wildcats!

It is really not all that much of a stretch when you think about it, as the Wildcats should have a Top Three team in the Conference that could feasibly contend for a Pac-12 Title. Plus, assuming the season happens without any hiccups, this group could make a deep NCAA Tournament run.
