Staff Predictions of Arizona Football against the USC Trojans
It is finally game day, and today is the day that Arizona Football will take to the field against USC. So hear from staff on their predictions ahead of todays’ game.
It has been a looooong wait for us to finally see an Arizona Football game in 2020, and regardless of your opinion on the matter, the Wildcats are going to take the field in just a few short hours.
This weekend will provide a tough match-up for the Wildcats however, as historically, Arizona has struggled against the Mighty Trojans of USC. With this one, Arizona enters as a 14-point underdog, and since 2017, USC is undefeated in games when entering them as a double-digit favorite.

Nonetheless, the games are played on the field and anything can happen. Especially in a whacky and wild year that has been 2020.
We already outlined this game and what Arizona needs to do in order to win it, however, what you didn’t hear was from our staff on how they think the Wildcats will do this season.
Eric (Me – Site Expert): Earlier in the week, I predicted USC 37 Arizona 21. I think it may actually be a bit closer, because it is a home game for Arizona, and the Trojans are not great at matching or beating the spread.
However, I still think it is unfortunate that Arizona didn’t get a chance to play last week to get their first game jitters out, and also use that game to fix and correct some things.
It is even more challenging that they open the year against a very talented USC team that they historically have struggled against.
Who knows, maybe the Cats get a surprise here, but probably not, and for that, I still have the Trojans winning this one. USC 38 Arizona 27
Shereen Rayan (Site Contributor): It’s so hard to predict this game because we haven’t seen all the players play yet, nor have we seen the result of all the new coaches.
I feel our offense should do okay if Grant Gunnell gets protection. However, we have lost so many experienced players on defense that I think that’s where Arizona will be challenged.
USC has the same coach who recruited all their talented players, and who have played for him for years.
I hope the score is close but I’m going to predict USC 41 Arizona 17. I hope I’m wrong.
Jordan Cuda (Site Contributor): USC benefits from playing week one and continue their momentum in Tucson. Wildcats hang around but eventually fall short. USC 31 Arizona 17.
Jake Faigus (Site Contributor): Arizona keeps up for a bit, but USC has too much talent in the end. USC 42 Arizona 28.
