With the 2020-21 Arizona Basketball team in limbo, held at the mercy of the Corona Virus Pandemic, their non-conference schedule is back on for now!

In case you haven’t been paying attention, it has been a busy few days for the Arizona Basketball team. After seeing their season tip-off postponed with the cancellation of the NAU game, just days later, they saw another cancellation with UTEP.

So despite having their season initially “starting” November 25, the Wildcats have only played in just one game thus far, a 19-point win over Grambling State last Friday.

While it is unfortunate that Arizona has had limited opportunities to play so far this year, unfortunately, the cancellations and postponements are something that they are going to have to get used to this year. Especially as the Wildcats are held at the mercy of the ongoing pandemic.

While things could ultimately change on a day-to-day basis for the Cats, it seems the school and the Arizona Basketball team is staying aggressive in order to continue to schedule opponents as they can.

Well, making news on Monday afternoon, the school announced that they have officially rescheduled their game against NAU, moving it to Monday night, December 7 at McKale Center.

However, this week will be a big one, as they face Northern Colorado Saturday, December 5 (assuming there is no cancellation).

Next week the Cats will open play by facing NAU, followed by CSU Bakersfield on Wednesday, California Baptist the following Wednesday, and now New Mexico State the following Saturday. Again, this is assuming none of these games get canceled from now until then.

With the Wildcats breaking in numerous new players this season, these next few weeks are crucial for them. All these games are winnable for Arizona, and this is a great chance for the Cats to settle the roster and rotation before really jumping into the heart of the schedule.
