With the Arizona Football team still adjusting to the new coaching staff, new defensive coordinator, Don Brown promises this group won’t lack effort.

Football is back! Well, kind of… Following a long and tumultuous past few months, Arizona Football kicked off the unofficial start to the 2021 season with their first Spring Football practice on Tuesday.

Already, it has been one hell of a journey in getting to where we are now, as the Wildcats replaced previous head coach Kevin Sumlin and distanced themselves from a horrible era of Arizona Football.

Newly hired head coach Jedd Fisch has since been brought in and has done a tremendous job in overhauling this staff and getting this program back on track.

So far, one of the biggest moves he made was the addition of Don Brown. A legendary and fiery defensive coach that has built and coached some of the best defenses in college football.

His wisdom and hard-nosed approach to the game is a bit of throwback, and for a program that has been starving for defensive success once again, a bit of a throwback is being welcomed greatly among the fans.

With the start of Spring Football, Don Brown has gotten his first introduction to Arizona Football and the group of players he is going to be working with.

Just as Spring Football action has kicked off, the Wildcats have taken to the field, and already coach Brown is able to see what he’s got, as well as begin implementing his defensive schemes.

Coming in, we knew he was going to intense and the coach aptly dubbed “Dr. Blitz” is certainly bringing his toughness as he is wasting no time in getting this group up to speed.

Following the teams’ first practice Brown said “Nobody’s waiting for us. Nobody… Nobody’s gonna say, ‘Oh, we’ll wait for Arizona to catch up.’ So we have to catch up.”

And catch up is right. This is a group that finished near the bottom in college football last year, and they will have a long way to go to get where they need to be. That is why this group can’t waste any time getting there.

With only a few months to go until the official start of the 2021 season, that means guys will have to bring the intensity and effort, or they won’t play for coach Brown.
