Barely a week on the job and Arizona Basketball head coach Tommy Lloyd got another recruiting win as Kerr Kriisa announced that he will be returning to the team.
It has been a great week for Arizona Basketball head coach Tommy Lloyd, as the Wildcats have seen several recruiting wins, but perhaps none bigger than the return of Kerr Kriisa.
As you may recall, the Estonian guard announced last week that he would put his name in the transfer portal, however, still leaving open the possibility of coming back.

Well, as things have started to cool off following the separation from the Sean Miller era, Kerr re-evaluated his options and will be withdrawing his name from the transfer portal, officially returning to the team.
NBA Draft Analyst Jonathan Givony announced that Kerr would be staying at Arizona via social media on Wednesday afternoon, and the news of his return is a big one!
Despite seeing limited action last year, Kerr averaged 5.5 points and 2.4 assists through eight games with the Wildcats, and with James Akinjo still in the portal at this point, the Wildcats need guards in a bad way.
Bringing back Kerr Kriisa means Arizona Basketball still has a solid go-to option at guard for next year.
To me, the goal should still be for Arizona to recruit another guard or perhaps even two, however, bringing back Kerr is a big deal for the Wildcats in having stability, but also Kerr has a lot of potential.
Remember, we only saw limited action from here last year, and from what we did see, there’s a lot to like. He is a smart and heady player that brings a lot of energy and passion to the team, and in a lot of ways, he was a spark plug that helped get the team going at times.
Here’s a reminder of just how could he could be…
