Continuing their solid recruiting streak, Arizona Football head coach Jedd Fisch and the Wildcats have received a commitment from former UCLA commit, AJ Jones.

Things are heating up in Tucson for Arizona Football in the recruiting class of 2022. Just days after receiving a commitment from Russell Davis II, the Wildcats have now secured a commitment from former UCLA WR commitment, AJ Jones.

A big and sturdy receiver from Colony High School in Ontario, CA, AJ had visited Arizona just a couple of weeks ago and it wasn’t long after that his visit to Tucson that had him second-guessing his commitment to UCLA and the Bruins.

Officially de-committing from UCLA and opening his recruitment, it didn’t take him long to weigh his options, committing to Fisch and the Wildcats on Monday morning.

Taking to social media to announce his commitment to Arizona, Jones picked the Wildcats over offers from UCLA, Arizona State, San Diego State as well as a few Ivy League offers (Princeton, Dartmouth, and Yale).

Becoming the 10th commitment in the class of 2022 for Arizona Football, AJ Jones is a big addition for the Wildcats.

Standing 6-feet-4-inches and weighing 195 pounds, this is a big receiver and target the Wildcats have been desperately needing.

Rated as a three-star recruit, AJ comes in ranked as the No. 677 player nationally and is the No. 49 player overall in the talent-rich state of California according to 247sports.

A big and sturdy kid, AJ is an athlete that could help the Wildcats immensely. He has a big frame and possesses good, downfield speed.

On film, he does a great job at using his length to be a good deep threat and does a tremendous using his size to get to the high point of the football. He even possesses good hand strength, holding the ball well when he’s trying to come up with the play.

Overall, he is a difficult matchup for corners and other defensive backs, which is why this huge commitment for Arizona.
