NCAA COACHES (5)

Adia Barnes, Head Coach Arizona Wildcats

Adia Barnes had a fantastic 2020-21 season! She led her Wildcats to the NCAA Championship game losing by just a point. Barnes also just served as the USA AmeriCup Assistant Coach. Barnes also led her team to win the NIT Championship in 2019. She is the only coach in Arizona history with three 20-win seasons in their first five seasons. Oh wait there’s more, here’s the rest of the list of accomplishments from ArizonaWildcats.com:

  • 2021 AmeriCup Gold Medalist
  • One of four coaches to lead their alma mater to the title game
  • One of 11 coaches to play and coach in the NCAA Tournament at their alma mater
  • The first coach since 2016 to make the Final Four in their first five seasons as a head coach
  • The youngest coach since 2014 to make the Final Four
  • Third-winningest coach in school history
  • Second-most 20-win seasons in school history

Josh Pastner, Head Coach, Georgia Tech

Still serving as a head coach of the Yellow Jackets, Pastner enters his sixth season with Georgia Tech and is coming off a miraculous run in which Georgia Tech won the ACC Tournament and made the NCAA Tournament.

Jason Terry, Assistant Coach, Arizona Wildcats

Arizona Head Coach Tommy Lloyd agreed to keep Jason Terry on his staff, and thank goodness, he is a great recruiter, and I like to think he talked Sean Miller into playing zone defense a bit more often last season.

Jason Gardner, Director of Player Relation, Arizona Wildcats

Jason Gardner was recently brought onto Lloyds staff as a Director of Player Relations. “He unquestionably left his mark on this program as a four-time All-American and national player of the year. I know he is excited to be back in Tucson and give back to his alma mater as a member of our staff,” said Lloyd according to the Daily Wildcat.

David Miller, Assistant Coach at San Jose State University

David Miller returned to Tucson last season to help Sean Miller and Alma Mater as the Recruiting Coordinator. After Sean Miller’s termination (no relation), David landed a job coaching at San Jose State University in California.
