Making more moves in the recruiting class for 2022, Arizona Football has now added former Michigan linebacker, Anthony Solomon.

It was a busy day for Arizona Football on Monday afternoon, and on the heels of adding UTEP transfer, Jacob Cowing and USC transfer, Hunter Echols, the Wildcats have also added former Michigan linebacker, Anthony Solomon.

Making news via social media on Monday evening, the former four-star linebacker in the class of 2019 announced his commitment to the Wildcats and becomes the third transfer of the day that picked Arizona.

A standout linebacker and athlete at the infamous St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Solomon committed to Michigan out of high school, with offers from Alabama, Miami, Auburn, and Clemson among several others.

Now a redshirt junior, Solomon joins the Wildcats with two years of eligibility remaining after appearing in limited action with the Wolverines over the past couple of years.

In his limited play, Anthony has totaled just six tackles (two solo) with the Wolverines, mostly playing on special teams.

With Arizona Football, Anthony Solomon should see an increased role as the Wildcats look for more depth and talent on defense.

Like Echols, Anthony will help to replace the recent graduations of Anthony Pandy, Treshaun Hayward, Kenny Hebert, and Rashie Hodge Jr., and with Arizona desperately needing an infusion of talent and depth on defense, this addition makes a lot of sense.

Solomon did not play much at Michigan but like Echols, this is a great value add for Arizona as there is virtually no downside to bringing him in.

At worst, he provides depth to a position in desperate need of it, and at best, he develops into the talented high school player that got him a ton of offers and interest.

Either way, he should complement this defense nicely and will add depth to a group that is quickly growing with the recent additions of Echols, Sterling Lane, Tyler Martin, and Jacob Manu as well.

Here are some of Anthony’s highlights while at St. Thomas Aquinas High School (Fort Lauderdale, FL).
