Continuing their big day, Arizona Football received yet another commitment for 2023 with the addition of Southern California defensive lineman, Lucas Conti.

Things are quickly heating up in the desert for Arizona Football, especially on the recruiting trail as the Wildcats have added three-star defensive lineman, Lucas Conti.

Making news via social media on Sunday evening, the standout Centennial High School athlete from Southern California announced his commitment to the Wildcats after wrapping up a visit in Tucson.

Picking the Wildcats over offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Minnesota, and Washington State among others, the three-star defensive line joins the 2023 Arizona recruiting class on the same day Tylen Gonzalez also announced his commitment.

Helping to bolster the defensive line for Arizona Football, overall, Lucas Conti is a big pick up for the Wildcats.

Coming in, Justin is a Top 750 player in the country, ranking No. 87 for his position, and No. 59 overall in the talent-rich state of California.

Hailing from the talented Centennial High School (Corona, CA), Lucas will come to Tucson with an opportunity to compete for early playing time and should help provide immediate depth to a position of need.

Heading into his senior season, this is a kid that is poised for a potentially big jump both physically and athletically as he currently stands an impressive 6-feet-5-inches and 260 pounds (according to his 247Sports profile). He also has a great opportunity to fill out his frame as well.

Lucas projects to potentially be an edge rusher for the Cats, typically lining up in a three or five-technique along the defensive line. He has great size and strength with the ability to fill out, and he moves quite well.

Conti plays fast, physical, and with a bit of a mean streak that the Wildcats could desperately use. Just from looking at his film, it is clear why the Wildcats offered him and stayed aggressive in his recruitment. Overall, he should be a great addition to the Cats’ roster!
