Sports Broadcater Roundtable:
Miles Simon (ESPN Analyst and Former Arizona Wildcat) chose Arizona to go to the finals after beating No. 1 Wisconsin on tonight’s ESPN Bracketology show. His reason: Wisconsin’s team is similar from last year while
Arizona’s team now has Brandon Ashley and Ashley will make the difference because he can guard Frank Kaminsky. Also, Stanley Johnson can take over teams, and Arizona has T.J. McConnell who can take on Sam Dekker from Wisconsin.

Marc Spears, of Yahoo Sports, picked Stanley Johnson as the No. 5 of the top 10 NBA prospects to watch during the NCAA tournament.
Dave Cooney, KOLD Sports Anchor (Tucson), reported and interesting fact: All Pac-12 teams in NCAA Tournament won an NCAA title – Arizona (1997), Oregon (1939), Utah (1944), UCLA (1964-65, 1967-73, 1975/1995.)
Coach Sean Miller’s thoughts post NCAA Bracket Selection (www.ArizonaWildcats.com:
“We are excited to be a two seed..Coach Stoudamire knows that arena very well..we are excited to move onto the next chapter..its upon you very fast..These next 48 hours a lot is going to happen. You look at some of the teams that aren’t in the NCAA tournament…from one year to the next there can be amazing swings…the last two years here, I certainly don’t want to take for granted.”
“The four one seeds are very deserving, a matter of fact you could have made the argument that maybe six or seven seeds could have been that.” “The first round for everybody is difficult..more so now than ever before..you have to be ready..its who is the best in that 40 minutes..teams aren’t themselves, we don’t want to be one of those teams.”
“We respect Texas Southern..if you went at Michigan State, you don’t have to say anything more. You are a dangerous team, a very well coached team..they have also beaten Kansas State at Kansas State, and we have played Kansas State.” “Their guards are very very aggressive. Their make up of their team is similar to an Oregon’s, their guards can really play..they will bring out the best in us!”

As the song “We are the Champions” by Queen is playing over and over in our heads, we look forward to Thursday morning, when we start to test our own bracketology with the Arizona Wildcats always slotted in the “NCAA Finals Champion” slot, if you are a true Wildcat fan.
We hope that the Arizona Wildcats blow through their first two opponents with ease, but this is the NCAA tournament on neutral ground, so fans need to travel up to Portland to help these young men feel at home.
Wouldn’t it be interesting [so said the NCAA tournament seed determiners] if we had a game where Arizona will be playing the team they beat three times and the final time in the Pac-12 tournament, Oregon. Or, the team that took them out of the Elite Eight contention in last years tournament, Wisconsin? Both scenarios are a distinct possibility. I’ll take Oregon match up again, punching and all, but most probably will be Wisconsin when we seek revenge and send the Badgers home!
BEARDOWN ARIZONA!
