Arizona Wildcats Basketball: You have heard his name a lot, but do you know how excited you should be? Allonzo Trier is the Most Unstoppable Scorer in High School!

More from Zona Zealots

Allonzo Trier (pronounced Tree-air), is a five-star six foot five, 190 pound guard originally from Seattle, Washington attending Findlay College prep in Rockville, MD. Trier, ranked No. 13 in the nation, has been dubbed as the best and most unstoppable scorer of the 2015 recruiting class. Per Gabe Encinas of ZonaZealots, he dominated the Nike Peach Jam (30.8 ppg), Nike EBYL (29.4 ppg) and Team USA’s U-18 gold medal run (12.6 ppg).

Allonzo (@ISO_ZO) was offered by 17 schools including Kansas, UConn, Louisville, UCLA, Wichita State, and Wake Forest.  He decided on Arizona, and signed his letter of intent on August 3, 2014.  Trier played for a number of schools around the country during his freshman through junior years, and then he transferred to Findlay College Prep in Las Vegas for his senior year. Here is his signing day tweet:

Findlay College Prep is located in Las Vegas Nevada.   Nick Johnson and Brandon Ashley are also Findlay Prep alumni; think they had a hand in recruiting him? Trier was nominated to the McDonalds All-American West team on January 28th; only 24 players across the nation get nominated, so this is huge!

The McDonalds All-American game will take place on April 1, 2015, at the United Center in Chicago when Allonzo’s West team will take on the East team. Along with Trier on the West team roster is Ivan Rabb, a 6-foot-10 player who Coach Sean Miller has made an offer to.

Rabb plays for Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland, CA. On March 10th, Allonzo was named to the Naismith Trophy Boy’s High School All-America Team which is presented by Hilton Worldwide. He made first team with four other players; there are five players nominated for first and second teams for a total of only 10 players who earn this honor.

And his High School celebrated with this tweet:

Dave Cooney, from the Tucson News Now caught up with Allonzo Trier in Las Vegas as posted by Damien Alameda this week.  What separates him from the other recruits “Something that’s been just natural to me..its more of a natural thing I have always been able to score and I’ve had a knack for it.” Where is he most comfortable? “I’m most comfortable at the one spot, two spot.” He is looking forward to playing at McKale Center and was impressed when he visited the University of Arizona.

Did he attend the Pac-12 Tournament since he lives in Las Vegas? Yes! @AZCatsFan1981 was paying attention and spotted him in the crowd (blurry, but hey it’s all we have):
