Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada – The score at the end of the first half was 33-27 Arizona, with the Wildcats pushing on a late half burst! The score up to that point was pretty even. Kaleb Tarczewski did not seem to be able to be much of a factor, Rondae Hollis Jefferson did. Game Leaders for Arizona are: Stanley Johnson with 19 points and seven rebounds, Brandon Ashley scored 15 points, and made 7-7 of his free throws, that’s 100%.
Overall the Wildcats shot 48% and made 6-11 of their three-pointers with eight players scoring, four in double digits also including T.J. McConnell and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. Interesting fact, both the Bears and the Wildcats had about the same number of rebounds in the game, Arizona made 37 and Cal made 36 by the end of the game even thought the Wildcats were slower to the mark in the first half.
Towards the end of the game with 2:41 to go, Cal’s David Kravish, playing his last game for Cal, got his hand tied up under Brandon Ashley’s arm/elbow/shoulder as the both fell to the floor. When they got up, Kravish got upset and pushed Ashley right in front of the referee..the game paused for the referee’s to review. They gave technical fouls to both.

Some Pac-12 Tournament notes:
UCLA’s forward Kevon Looney suffered a possible facial fracture in the first half, they sent him to the hospital, he did not play for the rest of the game. Pac-12 broadcasters were discussing the possibility of him playing with a mask tomorrow. UCLA guard Isaac Hamilton scored 33 points on 12-16 shooting, and making 6-8 three-pointers, and made all three free-throws with 10 minutes to play in the game. He ended the game with 36 points on 13-17 shooting. Betting the whole Arizona team is watching this game together.
According to Javier Morales @JavierJMorales from AllSportsTucson.com on Arizona playing UCLA: This will be fourth straight year the teams will play each other in #Pac12Tournament. Bruins 2-0 vs Wildcats in Vegas. Honestly, I was at the game, it really seemed like the Pac-12 referees wanted UCLA to win…like they wanted another Pac-12 team to go to the tournament.
Post Game Interviews with the Pac-12 Network:
Stanley Johnson, “We get stops, we get transition. I just try to get strikes! I think we have substance!” And then later, “At the end of the day its about is what he [Coach Miller] thinks about what I’m playing like.”
Coach Sean Miller, “That’s a great answer!” to Stanley’s comment above.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, “We are going to work for 4 10 minute wars! ..just do what you do best!”
